AUSTIN'S DISCO STORY

We have been running the Feel Like Dancing discos in Aberdeen since 2007 but before that Austin was doing mobile discos with his Dad Charlie around Aberdeen's hotels and clubs under the name 'Simply the Best' and later 'Austin & Co'.

John and Austin started Feel Like Dancing as a monthly afternoon disco in Inchgarth Community Centre as an activity for him and his friends.  After a while we moved to the Glenburn Social Club in Dyce where numbers steadily climbed til we couldn't fit in the event room there.  Then we moved to the Hilton Treetops hotel where we regularly had 200+ guests every month and ran many successful party events at Christmas and Easter, and helped to raise lots of money for local charities.

Unfortunately the hotel closed very suddenly in 2019 and after one very packed event at the Palm Court, the Coronavirus Pandemic affected public events.  We started doing the disco live on Facebook and then Zoom.
